Montys Place Community Lunch

About Us

Monty's Place is a community lunch we hold every Wednesday between 12.00-1.30pm, in the Uniting Church Hall which is beside the Water Tower in Narooma. We provide a delicious warm meal with fabulous desserts. The concept of Monty's Place was developed by a .......................(community group?) in 2013 and the first lunch was held on 23 October 2013 (check???). The Monty's Place lunch has been held at the Church Hall every Wednesday ever since 2013. During COVID we continued to provide meals every Wednesday by providing takeaway meals until we were able to welcome our guests back into the dining room. During the 2019/20 bushfires, despite many volunteers being unable to get to the Church Hall, Monty's continued to serve a meal every Wednesday, and in addition, prepared an extra 500 meals for the bushfire 'refugees' camping at the Leisure Centre.

Sponsors

Monty's Place could not have continued to support our community without the financial and in kind support from some wonderful, individual sponsors, community groups and contributions from our guests. We have receive generous grants from the NSW Government and the Eurobodalla Shire Council to upgrade our kitchen facilities. We have also received generous donations from Rotary, Quota, Stitching Sisters ???????????? and other businesses in Narooma. We particularly value the donations made by our guests??????????????? We are very grateful to Woolworths, Aldi, ABC Bakery, ??? Fish??? for providing us with food to add to our meals every week.
